Prathinidhi 2: A Perfect Medicine for Yatra 2?

YSR Congress is known for investing in propaganda-based films. YCP openly partnered with RGV to spread their agenda on social media and produce films to inject their ideology into people’s minds.

After Lakshmi’s NTR and Yatra, RGV’s upcoming film ‘Vyuham’ is another fresh propaganda movie targeting Chandrababu and Lokesh.

In contrast, TDP never relies on such cheap tricks. Even when Balakrishna made NTR’s biopic, there wasn’t a single dialogue against Jagan or YSRCP. This reflects the fundamental ideologies and thinking of the two parties and their leaders Jagan and Chandrababu.

Now, YSRCP is coming back with Yatra 2, this time to promote Jagan. However, portraying Jagan as a tall and great leader is a herculean task for director Mahi Raghav. This time Jagan is not in opposition, and showing him like his father YSR in Yatra is impossible. Yatra worked for supporters, and TDP also didn’t bother much because it was about a deceased leader.

Meanwhile, Nara Rohit is breaking his long break with the political subject Prathinidhi 2. This could serve as a perfect counter to Yatra 2.

Firstly, Prathinidhi 2 comes with a successful title itself. Secondly, it is not a bhajan biopic like Yatra or Yatra 2, making it more appealing to a wider audience as a regular film.

Moreover, Nara Rohit has a goodwill for making different films, which, combined with the release timings of both films, gives Prathinidhi 2 a huge edge to generate more attention than Yatra 2.
