Last week we have heard about the tragic incident that accidentally happened on the sets of Tamil-Kannada bilingual ‘Ranam’ while shooting a blast sequence in an industrial area. Due to inappropriate handling of the gas cylinder, it burst and the debris from the blast hit a family of four. The mother and her daughter were killed and the father and the son were severely injured and admitted in hospital.
The producer and the stunt assistant are in judicial custody and they will be kept in judicial custody for 15 days. They are paying the price for not taking proper preventive measures and handling the blast in an insecure manner. Moreover, they didn’t have the required permissions for shooting the stunt sequence in the industrial area that resulted in the tragic deaths of two innocent people.
