Producers Council Takes A Stand Against Dil Raju

Telugu Film Producers Council (TFPC) released a Press Statement about the ongoing issue between Dil Raju and the producers of Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya for Sankranthi theaters.

In the wake of reports of Dil Raju blocking a major chunk of theaters for Vijay’s Varasudu denying Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya, TFPC stepped in.

The Council went on to say it has been decided in the EC meeting in 2017 that straight films should be given first priority over dubbing films during Sankranthi and Dasara.

The council also reminded Dil Raju of his earlier statement about ‘Dubbing Vs Direct films’ in 2019 to deny theaters for Petta.

We will have to see if Dil Raju will back off after this stand of the council and also after severe criticism from all quarters for his chance in his stance.

Dil Raju initially promoted Varasudu as a bilingual but later said it is a dubbing film to continue shooting during the Producers’ strike. That is being used against Dil Raju and Varasudu.
