Puli backs out of competition from top star

In the coming months of Tamil cinema, Puli is without any doubt the biggest film with biggest budget. It goes without saying that it also stars one of the biggest Tamil stars Vijay in the lead.

This film was launched in a grand way and since then every little detail of the film has been followed with great interest by the fans and trade. At the start of the film itself many has expected the film to be the big Diwali release considering the last few Diwali releases from the star that turned out to be blockbusters. Now add a tradition competition in the mix with rival hero, wouldn’t that be what fans looking forward to the most?

However that plan seems to off for the moment and a new release date for the film is being locked. The makers are looking at releasing the film for Vinayaka Chavithi instead of Diwali. What this means is that Puli will arrive solo now. It’s definitely good for the trade but what about the fans who were excited about the clash?
