The untimely passing away of Kannada cinema’s top superstar Puneeth Rajkumar has come as a rude shock to South Indian film industry. Incidentally, with his last and final heroic act, Puneeth has shown he is a true superstar off the screen as well.

As stated by the doctors at Narayana Nethralaya, who collected Puneeth’s corneas, they used the corneas to provide eyesight to 4 individuals.

Puneeth’s corneas were reportedly sliced and transplanted in 4 corneal blind patients. This is as heroic as it can get.

On a related note, an interesting speculation about Puneeth Rajkumar’s last and final film James is going viral on the internet. Apparently, the makers of James, which happens to be Puneeth’s last and final film are planning on giving the film the widest possible theatrical release.

Puneeth had completed shooting for the film before his demise. As for the dubbing part, the makers intend to employ a Mumbai-based studio to digitally enhance Puneeth’s on-location dubbing and include it in the final cut.
