Puri Jagannadh’s Political interests!

Puri Jagannadh family’s relationship with the late YS Raja Shekar Reddy is well known to all. There was a news for a long time that Puri’s brother or wife will be contesting in 2014 General elections from YSR Congress Party but there is no official confirmation from Puri. Here are some instances in Puri’s movies which have political references. Interestingly it never looked like he is taking any party’s side.

1. Puri’s Businessman have several political inferences. In one of the scenes, Mahesh Babu says, Kadapa Bielection itself costed the candidate 200 Crore (Indirect reference to YS Jagan’s Bielection).

2. Prakash Raj’s character in Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu is named Rana Babu. Reverse Rana, you will have ‘Nara’, surname of Chandra Babu Naidu. In one of the occasion, hero alleges that Rana Babu has secret hotels in Singapore. This is a long standing allegation of Chandra Babu.

3. Iddarammayilatho has a reference of 1 Lakh Crore Corruption (an allegation on YS Jagan). Also the movie has a dialogue of Tanikella Bharani saying that ‘Reddys’ can influence anything and everything in Government (an allegation in Congress Governments of AP).
