Puri-VD Combo Has Other Issues?

Now that there is a buzz stating that Vijay Deverakonda wants to work with a big star director after his ‘Dear Comrade’, the star director who is readily available to work is none other than Puri Jagannadh.

There is a buzz that Puri is interested and Vijay also is equally interested to work with Puri after the blockbuster ‘iSmart Shankar’. However, their combo has its own issues.

Looking back at Deverakonda’s movies that worked, they were successful because of the stories, not the combinations. A combo with Puri will have its own limitations as Puri gave half-a-dozen flops before iSmart Shankar.

Even ‘iSmart Shankar’ didn’t have a gripping story and worked solely because of the elevation of that heroism that was played very well by Ram Pothineni. Except Ram, whenever Puri directed a non-star hero, he delivered a flop film. So, working with Puri for the heck of it might have its own issues. Let’s see who would be that big director first to work with VD and the result of that.
