Pushpa 2 Day 2: Ticket Prices Showing Impact

For the first time in Tollywood history, the ticket prices for a Telugu film cost over Rs 1000 at an official capacity. This happened after the Telangana government permitted massive hikes for the paid premieres, which had the tickets priced at Rs 1200.

The same trend was observed in Andhra Pradesh as well, considering that the ticket prices were pretty steep here as well. The first day prices were also significantly higher than usual.

But luckily for the film, it managed to hold up on the first day even with such prices. It posted all-time record tallies in several areas thanks to these prices.

However, now that the early rush has worn off, the film is starting to witness a decline in footfalls in view of these abnormally high ticket prices.

As per reports, the morning show bookings on the second day(today) have been ringing alarm bells. It could essentially be understood that the massive ticket prices have kept the audience away from the theaters as today’s openings have been shaken up.

This has now led to comments that Mythri Movie Makers need to seriously reconsider their pricing strategies if they are to keep the film afloat and kicking. The dangerously high prices are casting negative effects already, it can be noted.
