Race Gurram rocking AP despite IPL threat

Allu Arjun’s Race Gurram has done fantastically well in its second week. It has found a place among the highest grossing films in week due to this superb performance and the film is now well on its way to become the highest grosser of the year beating Ram Charan’s Yevadu.

Many in the trade expected the ongoing elections and IPL to affect the film’s run, especially IPL. For the past few years this cricketing phenomena has been affecting the summer movies big time at the ticket counter and the same was expected this year too. However Race Gurram by and large has remained unaffected so far. The fact that IPL is still in the early stages could be a major reason for this but whatever the film has started its third week too with a bang.
