Rahman rules Indian music sales charts

Music director AR Rahman has shown his might once again. The music director who is a star on his own and commands a huge fan following among music and cinema lovers in general proved his unanimous lead in this segment when the sales charts were released recently.

In the year end top selling album sales chart released by Itunes, not one or two but as many as five AR Rahman albums found place in it. His I which comes in combination with director Shankar was the topper. Other albums of his that found place in top ten were Kochadaiiyaan, Highway, Lekar Hum Diwana Dil, Kaaviya Thalaivan. Only Lingaa that released at the end of the year is missing in the list from all the Rahman releases this year.

With such domination by Rahman visible right before our eyes is it any wonder that he is the highest paid music director in whole India?
