Actor Raja Ravindra played the evil cop in Nani’s The Paradise and went through hours of prosthetics to get the character’s look. A pre-release video showing the actor’s transformation had also created curiosity around his role.

The Paradise opened to a massive response, collecting more than Rs. 70 crore worldwide gross on Day 1, including premieres, according to trade estimates. However, the film received extremely mixed reviews, with Srikanth Odela’s story, screenplay and direction coming under fire.

Amid this, Raja Ravindra posted a cryptic message on X: “తగలబడిపోయిన కొంపలో ఎన్ని విలువైన వస్తువులున్నా వేస్టే.” Roughly translated, it means that valuable things are of no use if the house itself has burnt down. The timing immediately caught attention, with some social media users connecting the post to The Paradise and wondering whether the actor was indirectly expressing his disappointment.

Raja Ravindra’s role itself did not make the expected impact in the film. In fact, several other popular actors have also been underused. Mohan Babu, despite playing the main villain and bringing his own screen presence, has been criticized by viewers for not getting enough material. Sampoornesh Babu reportedly spent nearly two years associated with the project, yet his character ended up with very limited dialogue and impact.

In such a scenario, a character artist like Raja Ravindra not getting a substantial role is hardly surprising. The bigger question is what exactly his tweet is referring to. Is he unhappy with the way his character was treated? Is he reacting to the overall film and its mixed response? Or is the post completely unrelated to The Paradise?

For now, Raja Ravindra’s post remains just a cryptic message. Whether it is a subtle comment on The Paradise or something completely unrelated, the timing has certainly given social media another talking point around the film.
