KGF to The Raja Saab: What’s Sanjay Dutt Thinking?

Sanjay Dutt is trending online ever since people saw him in the teaser of The Raja Saab, which was released on June 16, 2025. While details related to his role remain unknown, the character seems like a repetition of the characters that he has portrayed in the past.

Sanjay has an amazing personality, due to which he can fit into any role. However, the biggest problem right now is that he is accepting any kind of character without analysing anything, and he is possibly doing it based on the scale of a particular project.

For now, Sanjay has been doing 1-2 films a year, and his career has now slowly expanded outside Hindi films, where he has been approached to appear as the main antagonist in most situations.

The journey started with K.G.F. Chapter 2, where he was featured as Adheera. However, he has not stopped since then, and he appeared again in Leo and Double iSmart. The latter marked his debut in Telugu, and The Raja Saab marks his second Telugu film.

Sanjay will also be a part of the upcoming Kannada film, KD – The Devil, which has Dhruva Sarja in the lead. But the question is whether such roles have turned out to be beneficial for his career.

Although people went in large numbers to watch K.G.F. Chapter 2, there was hardly any audience for the Hindi versions of Leo and Double iSmart. This is possibly hinting at the fact that audiences might not be interested in seeing Sanjay as the villain anymore, and they want him to play something different.

In case The Raja Saab becomes a hit or blockbuster, the news will undoubtedly trend everywhere that Sanjay’s presence has also contributed to the film’s success. But this does not mean that Sanjay will once again repeat the same in another Telugu film.

People are well aware that Sanjay can give his best in comedy or serious roles. Sanjay needs to choose his roles carefully right now because an overdose might make people lose interest in watching him anymore.
