Rajamouli Breaks The Trend

RRR has become the first biggie to have resumed shoot after the state government lifted the lockdown restriction. RRR is in the last leg of shooting with Rajamouli requiring only 35-day schedule to complete the project.

The shoot began with Ram Charan the other day and will have Alia Bhatt dropping on the sets too. The filmmaker has one sequence and three songs to wrap up the project before getting to the post-production process. While Rajamouli’s films have longer run time and so do his songs as well.

It is learnt that Rajamouli is going to shoot an extravagant song featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR which will be of 8-minute duration. While songs have been part of our cinema since the inception but of late the filmmakers are either doing away or keeping it very short. Gone are the days when songs used to carry such a lengthy duration.

Even the audience seem to be restless with lengthy songs. The song will be a highlight, but will this work for RRR is to be seen. Either this can make or break. RRR is supposed to release on October 13. Given the massive post production it requires, the film may get pushed. RRR may have a release next year in summer.
