Rajamouli Need Not Be Taken Seriously!

We have four films announced for Sankranthi 2022. Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam, Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and Venkatesh – Varun Tej’s F3 have announced their release dates. Meanwhile, Rajamouli has dropped a shock asking his distributors to block theaters for Sankranthi.

RRR was supposed to release for Dussehra but with Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom getting peanuts in theaters. The option is ruled out. But then, the makers of Sankranthi releases are not very worried. They say Rajamouli’s announcements needed not to be taken seriously.

They believe the movie can be postponed again to Summer if the Hindi Market remains weak. Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is announced for Christmas. The movie will be a litmus test for RRR. If there is no third wave until January and things improve every month, RRR can release for Sankranthi.

We have over four months to go for Sankranthi and that is a big-time in a pandemic.
