“The clash is very unfortunate and unethical. We are not going back because it is not our fault. We suffered a lot due to the Lockdown and it has become a financial burden as well. We were first to announce the October 15th release. They announced RRR date unilaterally despite the fact that our main lead of Maidaan, Ajay Devgn, is also starring in RRR,” Boney said.
“We were not informed prior. Even Ajay Devgn was not informed. When I reached Rajamouli, he tried to say it is the producer’s call but I would not believe it. Rajamouli has caused damage to the industry with this. It shows us in poor light that we are not ready to stand with each other and work as an organized industry. It is not at all expected from him,” he added.
“The reasons he told in media for Sridevi not doing Baahubali are untrue. I have high regards for him but what they are doing now is nothing short of sabotaging and bullying. This is nothing but backstabbing the industry and the exhibition sector. I don’t believe in playing with the careers of hundreds of people. I will not stab someone in the back,” he seriously said.
RRR makers are yet to openly comment about this clash.
