Rajamouli's hand, 1000Cr in 3 months!

How much did Bollywood collect in the third quarter of this despite the flops? It’s an overwhelming Rs.1000 crores and most of this goes to the blockbuster hits, Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, Salman Khan’s ‘Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’ and Ajay Devgan’s ‘Drishyam’.

Out of the thousand crores, Rajamouli has his share of Rs.120 Cr plus and that too not with a straight film but a dubbed Hindi version of his magnum opus. That makes every Telugu feel proud of him. And even for ‘Bhajrangi Bhaijan’ which added immensely to the 1000 Cr figure, the credit goes to Rajamouli’s writer father Vijayendra Prasad.

And coming to ‘Drishyam’ came from South and the remake of Malayalam ‘Drishyam’ has collected more than Rs.60 crores, which is a big amount for the small film which is a family thriller. So all the top movies which accounted for the above said 1000 crores of the third quarter of Bollywood, have connections with South. Wow!
