After stunning the Superstar Rajinikanth fans worldwide and making them go bonkers with Kabali title track, here we have a new intro number from Santosh Narayanan. Does the number live up to the expectations?

The answer to the question would be mostly yes but with a strong disclaimer of no comparison at the outset. ‘Yama Greatu’ is a highly addictive and fun number largely due to lyrics and ably supported punchy musical hooks. The thing is one can enjoy it if they keep the Kabali number out of mind. Otherwise, it might feel a step-down. Whatever maybe initial reaction, ‘Yama Greatu’ is a rousing heroic mass number that would find appreciation in time.
