Superstar’s Daughter Lays Hands On The Epic Before The Legend

Whoever has been tracking the legendary director Mani Ratnam’s career, they will be aware of the grand multi-starrer that is associated with him. It has been threatening to go on sets for years, but nothing concrete happened.

The epic undertaking is a big screen version of the classic Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan. Even now, Mani Ratnam’s next is rumoured to be a movie adaptation of the same book. However, before he could make it official, here comes another announcement. Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth is going to turn Ponniyin Selvam into a web series.

Soundarya Rajinikanth will produce the web series in association with MX Player. Sooriyaprathap S has been chosen as director. Other cast and crew details will be out soon. It needs to be seen now if Mani Ratnam or anyone else goes ahead with the big screen version or not.
