Peddi Plan: Will It Calm Fans or Brutal Backlash Ahead?

Ram Charan’s Peddi is now targeting a June 2026 release window. The shift is not driven by any crisis but by a combination of unfinished shoot portions and extensive post-production work, particularly in VFX and music.

According to the film’s PR, one of the primary reasons behind the delay is the time-intensive visual effects work. The VFX team revealed that even a short segment of around four to five minutes of wrestling footage took nearly three months to complete. This underlines the scale and precision involved. Since VFX operates on a frame-by-frame basis, with roughly 1440 frames per minute, even minor enhancements require significant time and resources. The complexity of these sequences has pushed the team to slow down rather than risk a substandard output.

At the same time, the PR reports also mention AR Rahman prefers to begin re-recording only after the final cut is locked, especially as the second half editing is still in progress.

Fans are terribly disappointed with the continuous delays after strong promises from the makers. They want a thigh-slapping blockbuster after setbacks like Game Changer and Acharya. At such a time, continuous postponements are testing their patience and tolerance levels.

From March 27 to April 30 and now to June, the release has kept shifting. Even in June, the exact date is not confirmed. This lack of clarity is adding to the frustration.

It looks like the makers are releasing these behind-the-scenes details intentionally through their PR to cool the anger of fans. The aim seems to be to assure them that quality work takes time, so they have to be patient and expect the best output.

However, this strategy comes with risk. After all these delays and PR-driven updates, if the content does not live up to expectations, the backlash could be very brutal. From the director and technicians to A. R. Rahman and even Ram Charan, all could face intense trolling.

For fans, this situation feels like a double-edged development. The delay is disappointing on one hand, but the reasons behind it suggest a strong commitment to quality on the other.

Ultimately, the film’s success will depend on how well these extended efforts translate on screen. If the VFX, music, and overall execution meet expectations, the anger and frustration of fans due to delays will vanish into thin air.
