RC17 Sets Its Finish Line Before The Shoot Begins

RC17 is putting a deadline on itself before the first schedule has even begun. The Ram Charan starrer, directed by Sukumar is expected to start shooting this December. As per the buzz, the target is to complete the entire shoot by December 2027, giving the team exactly one year to get the job done.

That is an interesting call for a film carrying a star of Ram Charan’s scale. Once a big production goes on floors, schedules can stretch for all kinds of reasons, from locations and sets to action portions and artists’ availability. The longer a film stays in production, the harder it becomes to keep every moving part on the same track.

Sukumar’s December-to-December plan suggests that the makers do not want that kind of drift. The schedule will have to be planned tightly, with Ram Charan’s dates and the major production work moving almost in parallel.

There is also a practical advantage to finishing within a defined window. A controlled shoot gives the post-production team more room to work without the entire project constantly moving forward.

Of course, a target is only a target until the cameras start rolling. But if RC17 manages to stick to its December 2027 deadline, the film will have pulled off something big even before its release, completing a major Ram Charan-Sukumar project without letting the production turn into a never-ending saga.
