Director Buchi Babu Sana, who delivered the blockbuster “Uppena,” adamantly waited for a star hero to take up his project. After much dilly-dallying with NTR, the project finally materialized with Ram Charan.
The rustic pan-India project is titled “Peddi” across languages. The title has already been leaked online, and the feedback is not overly positive.
“Peddi” has been in the news for years since the director narrated the story to NTR a few years ago. Fans of NTR and Ram Charan have been fighting over how a project rejected by NTR was taken up by Charan due to their “RRR” rivalry.
However, the director and the production team are comfortable with the title “Peddi” despite mixed opinions. Buchi Babu feels the title is apt for his story and is moving ahead with it.
“Peddi” sounds short and crisp, but it also invites potential trolls for Charan if not presented well. However, given the current trend of rustic backdrops ruling the roost, this film might deliver a big surprise.
