Ramayana Experience: Best Format for Hyderabad Fans?

The wait is finally over! The makers of Ramayana, backed by producer Namit Malhotra, have officially announced the release date of the highly anticipated mythological epic. The film will arrive in cinemas worldwide on November 5, 2026, releasing across all premium formats.

Making the announcement on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, the makers teased the beginning of a new era with the line, “Yeh Ram ke Yug ka Aarambh hai.” They also revealed that advance bookings for the film will open on October 20, 2026, coinciding with Dussehra. The announcement promises something special for audiences when bookings go live.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The ambitious two-part adaptation of the Indian epic has generated considerable buzz, with audiences eagerly awaiting the first instalment.

The makers’ decision to release the film worldwide across premium formats signals their plans for a grand theatrical experience. With advance bookings opening on Dussehra, the festive announcement adds to the anticipation surrounding one of the most talked-about Indian films of the year.

Interestingly, attention is also turning towards the formats in which audiences should watch the film. Dolby Cinema is being highlighted as a premium option, particularly because of its ability to deliver high brightness, deeper contrast and a wider range of colors. Given the film’s reportedly rich visuals and large-scale world-building, the format could offer a more immersive experience than standard projection.

Audiences in Pune, Trichy, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kochi must watch Ramayana in Dolby Cinema to have the best experience. The film is also expected to have both flat and scope versions for Dolby Cinema, although audiences should wait for official theatre listings to confirm the exact formats available at individual locations.

With Ranbir Kapoor and Yash leading the cast, Ramayana has enormous expectations riding on it. The scale of the production, the visual effects and the portrayal of familiar mythological characters will all be closely watched.

November 5 is now the date to mark, but the next big test is how the makers turn the film’s enormous anticipation into advance bookings.
