
Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi are starring in the upcoming adaptation of Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra and Monster Mind Creations on a large scale using modern technology. The production team revealed the release date on the first day of Navaratri.
The release date poster features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman in the foreground. They are visually contrasted with Yash as Ravana. The poster carries the tagline, “Yeh Ram Ke Yug Ka Aarambh Hai”. Advance bookings will start on Dussehra.
The film aims to adapt the traditional epic with significant production values, reflected in the costumes and set designs showcased in the poster, trailer and songs. The casting strategy aims to attract audiences across multiple regional markets and demographics.
Ramayana is divided into two parts, with the first part releasing worldwide on 5th November. The second part is scheduled for Diwali 2027. DNEG is working on the VFX, while AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are composing the music. Sony Pictures is handling international distribution.
