Ramoji Rao to unveil four new channels for Dussehra!

Popular Eenadu group is launching four new Telugu channels starting this Vijaya Dasami. This will take the group’s channel count to seven in the country’s second biggest regional television market. The four new channels—ETV Plus, ETV Life, ETV Abhiruchi and ETV Cinema—will be on air from 22 October.

ETV Plus will focus on comedy, ETV Life on health and lifestyle, ETV Abhiruchi on food and ETV Cinema on movies. All the four channels have already got necessary permissions from the ministry of information and broadcasting earlier this year.

The promoters promise the new channels to be rich in content and be developed with subject specialists with high source credibility. Eenadu Television currently holds stakes only in Telugu. The group recently sold its non-Telugu businesses to the TV18 group, now controlled by Reliance Industries Ltd’s Mukesh Ambani.
