Ram’s RED Wasn’t Meant for OTT!

Several movies couldn’t wait for a theatrical release and chose to release their projects on various digital platforms. But, ‘RED’ didn’t budge and waited till the theatres opened and even got the festival release with a decent number of theatres and a decent buzz around it.

Talking about not budging to the pressure and waiting to release in theatres, Ram Pothineni said that they held on to the theatrical release because they felt that there is a difference between watching a movie in theatres and on small screens.

Otherwise, if they had taken the OTT release, the movie would have released on an OTT platform and the entire film’s unit would have moved on. They held on even ready for more expenses and losses if they had to wait for a theatrical release.
