Ustaad Ram Pothineni is doing back-to-back mass movies to consolidate his position in Tollywood. After scoring success with iSmart Shankar and Red, he is now coming up with The Warriorr directed by Tamil mass director Lingusamy. He has a film with Boyapati Srinivas also in the pipeline, which is again going to be a mass entertainer.

Mass films have been giving rich dividends for Ram in the Telugu markets, but on the other hand, his US market is getting a severe beating. US audiences don’t patronage mass movies as they support romantic family and comedy entertainers.

So Ram’s continuous mass rampage is hurting the collections of his movies in the overseas market. The US market these days is a very crucial barometer for any star’s success, and Ram should take care that his films do equally good business in all markets.

There is a talk in U.S. trade that Ram should maintain a balance between mass and class movies so that the business of his films remains consistent. He must attempt romantic entertainers like Ready again, which can sustain his career in the long run.
