Shock Is a Polite Word to Put It

Sharwanand’s ‘Ranarangam’ has certainly put up a sad show when it came to the box-office result in the US. Shock is the politest word to put it looking at the collections of the movie and comparing with Sharwa’s recent films and how they fared at the box-office.

The movie collected just the peanuts, i.e., mere $62 K, worse than his last flop movie ‘Padi Padi Leche Mansu’ that was a big flop but secured $316 K.

The makers of ‘Ranarangam‘ chose not to have the premiere shows after all the initial hype. Premieres might have added a bit to the overall collections.

The movie opened to mixed reviews from all over but the openings had been good in the Telugu States. However, lack of premieres didn’t give that opening benefit at the US box-office.

The hero of the film thought theirs is a screenplay based movie and the style will help it big time. However, with an outdated approach to mass and style, the makers made quite a wrong calculation.
