Rashmika: “I Wasn’t Comfortable Doing Peelings”

Rashmika Mandanna the lead actress of Pushpa 2: The Rule recently spoke about her discomfort with the song Peelings. She said the choreography especially the lifts made her uncomfortable. In an interview she shared her shock when she saw the rehearsal video and how tough it was for her.

Shot in just 5 days the song’s fast pace added to the pressure. Rashmika said she was taken aback by the choreography and her fear of being lifted it was tough for her.

But Rashmika learned to trust her director and co star Allu Arjun. She said once she surrendered to their vision it became more fun. “Once you trust the man it becomes fun” she said.

Rashmika also said self doubt is not part of her process. As an actor she believes her job is to entertain and serve the director’s vision. “I don’t give myself room to doubt”

This is a growth for Rashmika as an actress. She continues to push herself with different roles and is focused on evolving with every film no matter what the criticism.
