Re-marriage frauds in Hyderabad!

Conmen has got a new modus operandi to cheat divorcees, widowers and widows in the city who are too eager to move on with their lives. The city saw at least 30 cases in the last few months where they are lured with remarriage offers.

The conmen pose as rich foreigners and contact them via Facebook or other social media sites and befriend them. After winning the trust they propose and even to fly down to the US or Canada and start a family there.

In some occasions, they offer gifts from abroad and later say they need to pay for the customs duty. The victims in Hyderabad lost anywhere between Rs 3-50 lakhs. So far the police managed to solve only one case in which, two Nigerians Bob and Bawo Hilary as well as their Nagaland-based ally Leniya Magh were arrested in New Delhi.
