Revamping the Old role!

Thirty seven year old actress Mahie Gill, who made her debut in Bollywood with Sudhir Mishra’s Khoya Khoya Chand and is specially recognized for her role of Paro in Dev D is now appearing in Bindu’s legendary ‘MonaDarling’ role in Apoorva Lakhia’s Zanjeer remake. Even as she reprises the old role, Mahie is playing the character of a vamp which is quite different from Bindu’s in the sense that she plays the role of a Mona who continually lusts for the villain Teja, handled by Prakash Raj. In Mahi’s own words, she plays a “very lustful, but frustrated Mona”.

As for her looks for the film, Fashion designer Pria Kataria Puri, who has also handled Priyanka Chopra’s styling in the film, is tackling the fashion aspect. Since the role is of a glamorous woman and Gill prefers to be simple and sticks to ethnic wear mostly, it was quite a task for Pria.
