Reviewer Took 25 Lakh to Kill Top Hero’s Film?

Karan Johar’s upcoming film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ are set to release on the same day, this Diwali, resulting in a clash at the box office. Notorious Reviewer and Twitter personality, Kamaal R Khan (KRK), however bashed Ajay Devgn’s film on Twitter while favouring Karan Johar’s leading to a controversy.

Further fuelling the controversy came an audio tape leak recording which reveals that KRK was paid Rs 25 lakhs by Karan Johar to tweet against Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’. The audio in which reviewer confesses to this was recently leaked to the internet.

Responding to this new piece of information, Ajay Devgn issued an official statement against Karan Johar and KRK. In his statement, he mentions that it “pains [him] to see that people like Kamaal R Khan are holding the film industry to ransom by spreading negativity about films to extort money from producers.”

The actor added that it is “sad that people from our own industry are supporting such elements and spoiling the ethos of the film industry.”
