Reviewers Can Be More Responsible – Koratala

What is director Koratala Siva’s take on reviews and reviewers? The director thinks those reviews are the individual ratings of an individual. Though we can’t blame them, as it is their expectation or state of mind at that point of time depending on the expectation, they can be more responsible says the director.

Cinema is like a business where crores of rupees are at stake. Hence, a reviewer can also take the opinion of others and write a review keeping in mind this fact. He doesn’t sound complaining but gives an advice keeping in mind the business angle.

“At the end of the day, it’s their job. But they can understand the efforts that went into the making of the film and feel more responsible,” says Koratala who thinks writing reviews is a powerful job. He responded this way when he got a caller who talked about mixed reviews on ‘Janatha Garage’.
