Ram Gopal Varma after watching Zanjeer has requested filmmakers to not touch any more classics such as Zanjeer and Sholay because he believes when they are badly remade, they come back to haunt us. He says his remake of Sholay still haunts him.
He said he learnt his lesson from remaking Sholay, and would never like to touch any classics. He says from Zanjeer we should learnt once again not touch history. History in this case refers to films such as Zanjeer, Don and Sholay.
