Presented by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and directed by debutant Venugopal Reddy, Romanchakam stars Sumanth Prabhas and Ananthika Sanilkumar in the lead roles, with Sai Sohan, Narendra Ravi and Venkatesh Kakumanu in supporting roles.

Speaking at the film’s success event in Hyderabad, producer Pranay Reddy Vanga said the audience response had fulfilled the purpose behind making the film. He expressed satisfaction with the film’s theatrical performance.

According to Pranay, translating comedy from a script to the screen is one of the biggest challenges in filmmaking. He recalled discussions with Sandeep Reddy Vanga about how difficult it is to consistently make audiences laugh.

He said Venugopal retained the entertainment value that impressed them during the narration. Pranay also appreciated the cast for bringing the director’s vision and the humour in the script to the screen.

Pranay revealed that Romanchakam had collected ₹8.5 crore within four and a half days of its release and said the film was continuing its theatrical run. During visits to theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the team observed audience reactions to the comedy.

The producer said he was happy to see the fresh cast receiving appreciation, adding that the film’s success had created new opportunities for the actors and technicians who worked on the project.

Pranay said the project was not made purely for commercial reasons and described it as the result of 17 years of work by Venugopal Reddy. He added that he was pleased the film had become another successful release for the banner.
