Rumours to Downplay Ravi Teja?

Amongst the top heroes reigning Tollywood today, Ravi Teja stands apart because he is the only self made hero without any cine background or godfather to promote him. All the top rankers namely Pawan, Mahesh, Charan, Allu Arjun, NTR and Prabhas etc have family lineage and whether it is accepted or not, their cine background has been immense strength to them.

Hence Ravi Teja’s journey to his present position is phenomenal. In his latest hit ‘Power’, he romanced two young heroines aka Hansika and Regina. And Regina happens to be amongst the most recent brigade of new entrants into industry. In his next project ‘Kick 2’, Ravi is pairing with another young sensation Rakul Preet Singh.

Recently gossip mongers had been circulating that since Rakul looked too young beside Ravi who is in his early fifties, she had been replaced. The film’s director Surender Reddy had to squash them as rumours and Rakul is very much in the project. While in industry, senior heroes like Balakrishna & Nag are still romancing very young heroines Sonal Chauhan and Lavanya Tripati, spreading rumours that Rakul is looking young beside Ravi Teja only suggests that Ravi is looking old beside the young heroine. This way, some seem to be intentionally downplaying Ravi’s image. What do you think?
