Right now Nithiin is leading with a massive blockbuster in the form of A Aa. Even if one ignores that film citing Trivikram Srinivas as director, he has Gunde Jari Gallanthayyinde which crossed 20 Cr comfortably way before any of his contemporaries could and that too before price escalations. Still, Sai Dharam Tej is considered leading the pack or at least at the front, as he has more number of films crossing a particular park with relatively weak talks.
In the two Telugu states, Sai Dharam Tej has got two back to back 15 Cr plus films. None of the other stars has got that. This kind of performance is what makes him hot, locally. With his upcoming films also looking mass friendly, he is all set to continue to lead. But sooner or later the overseas has to be breached to make a bigger impact. If he can’t, there are others competing with him who can take advantage and the dollar value could make their collections look bigger.
