After Thandel, actress Sai Pallavi hasn’t signed any new Telugu films, sparking speculation that it might be her last outing in Tollywood — at least for now.
But it would be wrong to assume that she hasn’t received offers. In fact, producers and even star directors are eager to cast her, often waiting patiently for her dates.
So, the issue isn’t a lack of opportunities — it’s the challenge of convincing her with a meaningful role.
Sai Pallavi is known for her selectiveness and doesn’t commit to any project unless the character excites her.
This could be the reason why directors hesitate or back off if they can’t meet her high standards. On the other hand, she’s actively working in Bollywood, with multiple films in hand.
Currently, she is playing the role of Sita in the much-anticipated Ramayana, a two-part epic where the first part’s shoot has already been completed and the second is underway.
She is also working on another film titled Ek Din and is reportedly in talks for two more projects, one of them under the prestigious Yash Raj Films banner.
Meanwhile, Telugu actress Sreeleela also seems to be exploring similar career choices. Rumors suggest she recently walked out of Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin project and is leaning more towards Hindi and Tamil films.
This shift has raised eyebrows, with talk that she’s looking to diversify her career across industries, possibly following in Sai Pallavi’s footsteps.
Unless Sreeleela signs a big Telugu project soon, the speculation around her moving away from Tollywood is likely to continue.
