Pic Talk: New-Age TFI Directors’ Blockbuster Reunion

Despite mixed reviews, HIT 3 has emerged as a box office success for Nani. The film opened strongly during its first weekend and, while collections dipped in the following days, the early momentum ensured its success.

Domestically, the film grossed around 75 crores, with worldwide figures touching 90–100 crores, as per trade estimates — making it a decent addition to Nani’s success streak.

Director Sailesh Kolanu, who was under pressure following the failure of Saindhav, has found redemption with HIT 3. While the film didn’t break new cinematic ground, it did enough to put Sailesh Kolanu back in the game.

The filmmaker celebrated the success by sharing a heartwarming moment on social media featuring a gathering of new-age Telugu directors.

The viral image showed a cheerful thumbs-up pose with directors like Shiva Nirvana, Sai Rajesh, Buchi Babu Sana, Anudeep KV, Pavan Sadineni, Rahul Sankrityan, Bharat Kamma, Chandu Mondeti, Prasanth Varma, Sriram Adittya, Sandeep Raj, Venky Kudumula, Vassishta, Hasith Goli, RSJ Swaroop, Vivek Athreya, Vinod Anantoju, Sagar K Chandra, and others.

Sailesh Kolanu captioned it with gratitude, calling them “family” and acknowledging how they stood by him during tough times.

This display of camaraderie is rare in any industry and underlines the solidarity in Telugu cinema’s creative circles. All eyes are now on what Sailesh Kolanu takes up next — HIT 4 or a fresh venture.
