Trailer Talk: Family Hero’s Mass Makeover

Senior hero Venkatesh has undergone a mass makeover for his next film, Saindhav. The makers have dropped the trailer for the film today and it packs a punch.

The trailer starts with the introduction of the fatherly bonding between Venkatesh and his daughter, who suffers from a rare medical condition and needs an injection that costs Rs 17 crore. Venkatesh now sets on a mission to pool adequate resources for the injection and in the process, gets back to his violent past.

Family hero Venkatesh looks massy in this trailer and there are many action shots featuring him, including the one where he shoots a goon in the mouth and the bullet comes out in the back end. He has done an unapologetically aggressive role in the film.

Director Sailesh Kolanu is known for suspense thrillers. This time he appears to have focused more on the action part, going by the trailer. Shraddha Srinath too appears to have bagged an important role.

The BGM and cinematography are of good quality, as is the case with Sailesh’s films usually.

The trailer packs equal doses of family sentiments and action. If the emotion works out, the film can make do with the Sankranthi crowds. The film is set for release on the 13th of this month.
