All the theaters across the country were running empty as people were glued to their TV or mobile screens watching the crucial match.
Experiencing a more than 45% drop from the preceding day, Tiger 3 is anticipated to collect a mere 20-21 crores on Wednesday, a disappointing figure considering its wide release on 5500 screens.
But the nightmare isn’t over yet for Tiger 3, with India advancing to the finals scheduled for Sunday, November 19. This development is expected to significantly impact the film’s collections once again. Although the makers had hoped for huge growth during its second weekend, the looming final on Sunday has dampened prospects for achieving big numbers.
Compounding the issue, the second semi-final between Australia and South Africa is poised to further dent Tiger 3’s collections, as Indian audiences eagerly await to learn which team will qualify to face India in the finals. Projections suggest that Tiger 3 stands to lose a substantial 40-50 crores due to the World Cup matches.
Fans of Salman Khan are expressing their displeasure, not only with India making it to the finals but also with Yash Raj Films, the producers of Tiger 3, for selecting such an unfortunate release date during the World Cup.
