Only superstar with nine 100 Cr films

Mahesh Babu very well defined the term ‘Superstar’ saying that no matter what the content is, a superstar has the capacity to pull the crowds to theatres and make the film run purely by his charismatic presence. And this definition suits Bollywood star hero Salman Khan. In the recent five years span, he has nine films which entered into Rs.100 Cr club. A big record which seems to be impossible feat for any star hero in the near future.

Since 2010, every released film of Salman Khan turned out into a 100 Cr film from Dabangg in September, 2010 to ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ in November, 2015. The latest one broke all his previous records and turned out to be his fastest to enter 100 crore club within three days time. The opening day collections crossed Rs.40 crores, a bigger opening than his critically acclaimed ‘Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’.

With these records, Salman emerged as the King of 100 crore club, with superstars Shahrukh Khan and Aamir khan trailing behind with five and four 100 crore films respectively to their credit. With only one or two releases per year for any star hero, it’s almost an impossible task for others to beat the ‘King’ in 100 crore club. Don’t you agree?
