The lyrics by Padmashri Sirivennela Seetharama Shastry are catchy, and they are chiefly the reason for immediately liking. “Nee kaallani pattukuni ….dayaleda asalu” bit is fantastic and much better than the ‘Samajavaragamana’portion. The tune is okay, but the likeable and hummable segment that is ideally in sync with the lyrics makes it very hummable. An inform Sid Sriram makes it even better to listen.
Having said all that, ‘Samajavaragamana’ is still a hit number as a standalone audio. It is way too classy. It would require effective picturization to lift it further in terms of popularity. It makes one wonder what was the necessity to release the song so early? Wouldn’t it lead to many thinking if the rest of the songs too would be at this level – which is a hit, but less likely to be a blockbuster?
The whole video concept and package is classy and gives the ‘unplugged’ music session vibe. It goes in hand with Trivikram Srinivas’s visual cues though.
