Sam & Sarwa Carrying Two Burdens Not One

‘Jaanu‘ is up for release on 7th February, Samantha and Sharwanand are eagerly awaiting the response of the audience to the Telugu remake of a classic from Tamil. The duo seem to be on the same line when it came to the anxiety regarding the reception of the film.

Everytime the makers released a promo material, the duo is afraid of the comparisons with the original and the trolls on social media. They have been carrying two burdens. The first one is to repeat the magic of the original.

The second one to convince the Telugu audiences and make it a classic like the original with Trisha and Vijay Sethupathy as the lead pair. That means, the film needs to get a certain range of word of mouth to live up to the original.

Sam and Sharwanand admitted openly that they have been nervous right from the day they signed the film. Even before signing the film, Sam tweeted that classics should not be remade.

However, surprisingly she took up the challenge and even Sharwa said that he was afraid to touch the classic. But then, Dil Raju didn’t leave them until they took up the remake.

As performers, we know that Sam and Sharwa will give their 100%. It depends on how the narrative was tweaked to cater to the tastes of the Telugu audiences.
