Sanathnagar – A very risky deal for Pawan Kalyan

All of sudden, there is a discussion once again in media that Pawan Kalyan may contest Sanathnagar bi-election against Talasani Srinivas Yadav who defected to TRS after winning from TDP and is now a minister in TRS cabinet. The constituency contains huge settler population and is certainly a safe bet for the actor cum politician. However contesting this seat will have new problems for Pawan Kalyan.

Sanathnagar is in Telangana. Contesting from there will land him in Telangana politics. Pawan Kalyan has taken Seemandhra side since the time he floated Jana Sena party. It will be tough for him to sail against TRS government which he vehemently opposed and shares a big rivalry. At most he can be a force in the settler community in GHMC region which will make Janasena a sub-regional party.

However Pawan Kalyan is becoming politically irrelevant every day. A Press meet every six months will do him no good to him and only belittle him in the people. Also he can not be on moral high side and preach others about what is right and what is wrong, when he himself is doing nothing for the people. So contesting in Sanathnagar is in his plans at least according to the media reports.
