Which Young Director Best At Marketing?

Several young directors have arrived on scene with solid debut movies in Telugu cinema. Most notable among them is Tharun Bhaskar (Pelli Choopulu), Sankalp Reddy (Ghazi), and Sandeep Reddy (Arjun Reddy). Their films got the best appreciation critically and commercially as well. But which among these three directors’ has got the best fame post the release and making the right moves?

Only recently Pelli Choopulu celebrated its first year anniversary. However, it didn’t become a huge trend online, or many people remember it excitingly. Most recall the movie for great comedy bits, and that’s it. Ghazi recently had television premiere, there was a real buzz around it, but again, everything was focused around hero Rana. The movie is synonymous with hero rather than the director.

Now, coming to Arjun Reddy, the movie is talked about for both direction skills as well as performance. It is a film that highlighted directorial skills as much as acting talents of lead hero. Many people talked about the original narration of conventional plot. The director too has been visibly involved in promoting and active on other topics as well. There is already talk about other films.

It is clear that among the three films, Sandeep Reddy has got the best out of the movie as a debut director. It could also be because the film is still in its first week. So, we need to take stock of things after six months but the way the director has conducted himself post release, one thing is for sure his name will be heard a lot in the coming days.
