Sandeep Vanga Turning Headache For Ranbir?

Stree 2 is making waves at the box office, shattering records previously held by huge blockbusters like KGF 2, Gadar 2, and Animal.

Trade experts discussing Stree 2’s impressive performance have also revisited Animal’s box office run from last year.

One highly regarded website pointed out, “The last film to cross the 50 crore net milestone was Animal, but Stree 2 has surpassed that in almost every region except South India. The only notable exception was East Punjab, where Stree 2 lagged by just 40 lakh compared to Animal, which did well because of its strong Punjabi flavor. However, Stree 2 has excelled in other circuits.”

Their analysis continued, “In the South, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brand significantly boosted Animal’s performance in regions like Nizam/Andhra, Tamil Nadu, and Mysore.”

Fans note that Ranbir Kapoor was anticipated to finally achieve superstar status with Animal after his debut 16 years ago. The industry and box office analysts were expected to credit Ranbir for Animal’s success.

However, it seems that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is being credited for Animal’s success in the South, while the Punjabi flavor of the film is cited as the key factor for its success in the North.

In a way, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s brand appears to be overshadowing Ranbir’s, which might be turning into a headache for Ranbir, as the Bollywood trade and audience are still not giving credit to Ranbir and his stardom for Animal’s success.

Ranbir now needs to deliver a few more blockbusters to solidify his reputation as a superstar. Until then he may still be seen as an upcoming star rather than a fully established one, despite being in the industry for almost two decades.
