Vanga’s Supposed Mistake Turns Masterstroke!

We reported earlier that Sandeep Reddy Vanga might have made the mistake of postponing his upcoming film, Animal, from the Independence Day weekend as not many had great hopes for the films that starred senior heroes like Rajinikanth, Sunny Deol, and Akshay Kumar. It was expected Vanga’s Animal would have been the best bet for the audience.

But after seeing what has happened at the box office in the last 3-4 days, it can be safely said that postponing Animal was a masterstroke from Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

Gadar 2 is in beast mode in the Northern belts, while Jailer is creating havoc in the South along with overseas. Akshay’s OMG 2 is also racing towards being a hit film with good word-of-mouth. The combined business of these three films in the first week is expected to cross 600 crores gross.

Even if Animal had received great word-of-mouth from the audience, it would have lost a huge chunk of business due to clashing with these films, especially Gadar 2, which is on a phenomenal run in the Hindi belts.

Animal is now slated to release on December 1, and even on that date, the film is going to clash with other films. But those are small or medium-budget films that are not the box office monsters like Gadar 2 or Jailer.
