Sankranthi Release to Trim down the Run Time?

Rajinikanth’s Petta carried a lot of pressure to become a hit, which the superstar wanted the most. Well, the film started over a positive talk and is doing fair at the theaters except that it is not as great as the competitor Ajit’s Viswasam. Now both films got a similar response, but Petta makers are going to trim the film to cut short the run time according to the buzz.

The talk on social media is the main reason for this decision taken by the film team. Ajith’s film was received better because the film was several minutes shorter than Petta which was the actual drawback of the film to go by the feedback on social media.

Petta seemed to have lagged its second half and the director Karthik Subbaraj is planning to cut a couple of scenes to make the film crisper which hopefully helps drawing the audience more. For now, Viswasam is leading in the collections and it is to be seen how Petta’s shorter version does in case the trimming actually happens.
