Sankranthi Releases Turn A Nightmare for OS Distributors

We are already into the first week of January and strangely, there is no clarity about the release dates of Sankranthi Releases. Both Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikuntapuramulo teams are playing the waiting game and in between them, the trade is facing a really tough time.

The Distributors and Exhibitors of both the Telugu States are on the safe side because the advance booking is yet to open. But it is not the case with the Overseas Distributors. The advance booking of the Premieres of both the films started there and the uncertainty in the release dates is going to be painful for the distributors.

If at all the initial release plan changes, Premiere shows re-scheduling and coordinating with theatres is going to be a challenging task.

It has to be seen what finally happens. Interestingly, both the sides are yet to indulge in across the table talks ever since Bunny started rethinking about the release date.
