Sankranti Release Becomes Political

Most of the Telugu and Tamil heroes targeted Sankranthi for a festive release. There is a heavy competition for the holiday release with big stars colliding at the theatres. Now, what if the movie gets that extra power that gives a sudden hype to the film?

You know what that extra power is? The controversy. Remember what it did to Mersal? Yeah. Looks like same is going to repeat for Suriya’s Thaana Serndha Koottam (Gang in Telugu) if not at such a high level. The song Sodakku has been a hit given by Anirudh from the film. Well, AIADMK leaders amongst others have got a problem with the song saying that the lyrics of the song are offensive and anti-political.

Well, the director of the film seems to be happy that the film has got some sort of controversy which is always an advantage in terms of publicity.
